Season-aware estimate
How much energy will your solar system generate?
Enter system size, local monthly peak sun hours, panel orientation, shade, and other losses to estimate daily and selected-period kWh.
Energy estimate
This is a quick planning estimate. Clouds, module temperature, inverter clipping, grid outages, cleaning, system age, and site shade change actual meter readings. It does not replace an installer site model or production guarantee.

How the calculation works
A peak sun hour converts the day's solar resource into equivalent hours at 1 kW/m². It changes by location and season.
ideal daily kWh = system DC kW × peak sun hours/dayafter orientation = ideal kWh × (1 − orientation loss)after shade = after orientation × (1 − shade loss)estimated daily kWh = after shade × (1 − other system loss)period kWh = estimated daily kWh × number of dayscombined loss = 1 − [(1 − orientation) × (1 − shade) × (1 − other)]
Loss percentages are not simply added. Each loss reduces the energy remaining from the prior step. If your solar-resource value already represents the actual tilted plane, orientation loss can be zero.

Worked example
The example uses a 5 kW system, 4.66 peak sun hours/day, 5% each for orientation and shade loss, 10% other loss, and 30 days. AEPC reports 4.66 as a Nepal average, not a guarantee for a particular city or month.
5 × 4.66 = 23.3 kWh/dayनोक्सानीअघिको ऊर्जाenergy before losses
23.3 × 95% × 95% × 90% = 18.9 kWh/dayनोक्सानीपछिको दैनिक अनुमानdaily estimate after losses
30-day estimate
1 − (95% × 95% × 90%) = 18.8%जोडिएको असरcombined effect of losses
